Lives of Others
Everything Stana does in her "little black dress." And Nathan as well in the same scenes. Just the sort of great stuff they did together when they were in the same place at the same time.

What's that about?

Baby Beckett and Baby Castle. Can't get over how different Nathan's face is here in the first part of the show.

Fillion and Katic were so good together when they worked through a scene while both were doing the scene. The difference in quality in that situation was very noticeably different from scenes where they worked with stand-ins or used a phone call or some other trick to make the audience think they were interacting. This www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpncLA14Gkgis a prime example of how really good it could be in a comparatively bad 7th season. But, I got it from the beginning that anything that burns as hot as Katic and Fillion did, burns quickly.

Is this scene Nathan Fillions arguably best moment of acting while playing Richard Castle? Thought it was very powerfully delivered by NF. His use of voice and pauses was wonderful and sucked me into the emotion of the moment he was (we all were) experiencing. Kudos to him for nailing it.

They could be soooo good together when the writing - and both of them - were up to it.

Horrible episode but this little scene showing the Caskett synchronisation is worth repeating. Pretty sure this is from the ep before the proposal ep. They are walking in a field and are about to shoot down a drone?/small remote control plane. Rick uses Kates heel gun.

Check the scene in #623 as they track down Beckett's 'Husband' who happened to be tied up in the barn they are approaching.

To go from Pilot, to the infamous Turner and Hooch remark/scene to ep To Love and Die in LA, to infamous first (ruse) kiss in Knockdown, to Always. to Murder He Wrote, to being engaged, taking care of Cosmo/Benny, to finally getting actually married, to the last 30ish seconds of finale, aka Crossfire, is the beginnings of the rising star of Stana to where she is now in Absentia. She made Kate Beckett her own, now she is making FBI Agent Emily Byrne her own too.

Rewatch the Pilot, and also Season 1, then the final seconds of Crossfire, and see why Rainey Spurlock was chosen to play Lily Castle. Rainey looks very much like how Stana looked in Castle Pilot aka Flowers For Your Grave., and the rest of Season 1. The similarity/likeness is uncanny. Especially the hairdo....
Plus the identical twin boys, look a bit like mr fillion. One can imagine them being the sons of Rick and Kate.

Well maybe not exactly a 'Caskett moment', then again looking at Beckett's face here does kind of encapsulate so many scenes! Thought occurred to me that a) was this an ad-lib by Nathan and b) that wand could have very easily have ended up hitting Stana's face. Not a good outcome.

I think that was season 2 or 3. Also think that Terri Edda Miller wrote the ep. On further investigation, I think it was s2 ep 6 Vampire Weekend, and his party.
