Syd, I could never dislike Senator Bracken because Jack Coleman was soo good at playing him. Like the best villains he wasn't black and white in what he did. To him, his reasons for his crimes made sense, "the end justifies the means". And unless it's because Stana could act with a piece of wood and make the object seem good, the chemistry between Jack & Stana was as good, for me at least, as the best days with Nathan. B :-) i suppose it all depends on point of view, and a value system. It also depends on what exactly the 'end' is and what the 'means' is and what the justification is. Bracken deliberately chose bad over good. He didnt think anything of organising hits on his enemies, or those who were against him in his endeavours. He was a deranged psychopath who also was a con man, who only cared about his image, and hopefully being elected to President. In ep Veritas, he organised two other evil men to kill Kate. That didnt happen. He wanted only four things in life; to be President; to organise hits on anyone who got it in his way, to not be stopped, to charm and con anyone he met to get what he wanted. Granted Jack Coleman played the role well, I still didnt like the character. Also granted, he played the role with much emotion, animation, ferocity, and evil intent, with no regard for life just getting his own way, and yes Jack Coleman played the role with relish opposite Stana as Kate. Interestingly, Rob Bowman I think directed Veritas. I will have to check up on the other eps. Many thanks for your thoughts KB. Much appreciated. Quoting myself for a reason. Further to the above, I have conducted research re Bracken's eps. I also included Dick Coonan ep, ie Sucker Punch. This ep was directed by Tom Wright. Infamous Knockdown was also directed by Tom Wright. But, Knockout, was directed by infamous Rob Bowman. Also, for interest sake, infamous Killshot was directed by David M Barrett. Always was directed by Rob Bowman. The actual intro of Senator Bracken, ie After the Storm, was directed by Rob Bowman. Recoil, his next ep, was directed by Tom Wright. (Interestingly, s6 Dreamworld, was also directed by Tom Wright, and also Under Cover. Rob Bowman did indeed direct infamous Veritas. Brackens final ep was s8, XX in which he was murdered in jail. It was directed by Paul Holahan. I made the decision to research the eps of Bracken and the directors. Its the directors (and the actors to a certain extent , ie their input) who decide how the characters/scenes are played. The writers of the ep also put in their own thoughts. The writer of XX was either hawley or TPW. Recoil was written by Rob Hanning (My fave), and a Cooper McMains, teleplay by Rob Hanning. ep directed by Rob Bowman. Veritas was also written by Hanning, and TPW.. . . . (wonder if he knew back then he'e be co showrunner by s8???).

3XK AND DR KELLY NIEMAN ; S7 RESURRECTION AND RECKONING. NUMBER 30 ON STFD'S TOP 32 EPS FROM PILOT TO 2015, RECEIVED 11 VOTES.
Latter was 3XK's girlfriend. She became fascinated by Kate's facial features. She wanted Kates face for herself.
In s7 ep Resurrection, they both returned. 3Xk returned to again terrorise Rick, and to kidnap Kate.
In s7 ep Reckoning, Kate was kidnapped and held by Nieman, who intended to transplant her face. Jerry Tyson (3XK) tried to convince people he was a Michael Boudreaux. Captain Gates told Rick to figure out his story to figure out how to locate and trap 3xk. Towards the end of Reckoning, Espo shot/snipered him dead.
After trying to free herself, Kate finally managed to kill Nieman by using her scalpel.
