Putting these instagram shots together with Stana's, I'd say that Stana has not been doing much filming in Budapest. Or, maybe I just watch too many detective shows.

Currently on my 2nd re read of a Life in Secrets.....I came across an interesting name that I thought Id share.....chapter 11 Crasna page 159, is a person called....Stanu Morescu (Romanian), and a female. It sturck me how similar the name is to ...Stana. In the story, the author is trecking down people who knew/spoke with Vera in the past whether before/during the war, after it or before she died.

There are pics of most people mentioned in a Life of Secrets, and also in Spymistress, but curiously, the only book that has Virginia Hall's pic (played in move by Sarah Megan Thomas, ad also screenwriter/EP), is Spymistress. Plus there is also a pic of Vera in 1990. She died in 2000 aged 92. There is also pics of Vera from a teenager onwards, and one of her smiling.
Seeing how there is no Spoilers Section for here yet, here is one.....Noor Anayat Khan aka Nora, ie Vera's fave agent, Vera eventually learnt was killed at Dachau., plus a Polish spy, Susan Ochowlosky?? had a very striking resemblance to Nora. Her pic is also in A Life of Secrets, as is Nora's. The resemblance is indeed striking.

A true hero, the conditions these ladies flew under at times were outrageous but they never backed down and always went out.....there were sadly numerous causalities but countless funny stories.....fortunately they would now be flying the planes into combat.

I saw a movie advertised for today, ie saturday, late morning, tht sounded familiar. Made 1950, starring Anna Nagle. Once watching/hearing, it definately sounded familiar. I then got out my Vera Atkins folder out and started perusing. The movie I was watching was.......Odette......ie Odette Churchill.....ie daughter in law of Winston Churchill.......ie of SOE......ie forerunner of Vera Atkins movie.
The movie started earlier than scheduled, and I only saw one hour of 2 1/2....so then rang channel concerned to complain but will ring back on Monday. I urge people here that if you get a chance to watch this B/W movie, please do as it is rivetting. I felt as though I was watching the Vera books. It ends with the death/suicide of Hitler.
Odette is mentioned and her pic is in both Vera Atkins books., and Peter Churchill's pic is in one if not both.

This movie looks very interesting to me, and I really hope that it doesn't disappear without a trace the way most of SK's films have (i.e., CBGB, which I saw and thought was terrible, The Rendezvous, which I saw and thought was pretty good but not great, Lost in Florence, which I had no interest in seeing because I don't like Brett Dalton's acting at all and SK is hardly in it anyway, and Cadaver, which I have no intention of ever seeing if it ever does get released because I don't like horror movies).

As quiet as everything has been about this movie, I thought it might be good to post this mention just to let everyone know the Vera Atkins film is alive and kicking and heading for a 2019 release. Scroll down to 4th section, called Undated 2019, to see the listing under Untitled. [Sorry can't seem to get the link in there correctly. You'll have to copy & paste.] womenandhollywood.com/resources/films-by-and-about-women/upcoming-women-centric-films/When you see them all listed like that it seems like a lot of movies. Then you remember that films primarily about women are a small percentage of all films produced and you get a feel for how enormous the competition really is.

This is kind of cool, especially if you live in the UK. Sarah Megan Thomas Verified account @sarahmegant 22h 22 hours ago More Noor Inayat, Indian-origin spy, could feature on Britain’s £50 note. @radhika_Apte will play "Noor in an untitled World War II Hollywood drama, along with @stana_Katic & Sarah Megan Thomas." Thank you. That was quick! But, sorry, I meant under the broad All About category so the spy movie has a separate section equivalent to Stana's other projects. Sorry to be a pest and thanks again.

I think you looked when I was transitioning the threads to the new site. I needed to create a new 'home' for them before deleting the 'old' one. By the way, hadn't responded to your earlier feedback on some site housekeeping. As you can see, took some of that on board and did some reworking. Keep up the suggestions-always appreciated.

Aha, that makes sense. Belated thanks for the earlier reworking as well. Feels more streamlined and focused now. Much appreciated that you're open to suggestions and that you decided to keep the site open.

She is in the UK and mentions Royal Mail......(and apparently her @ is 78....). Why this is not appearing as a link I have no idea. Ive just checked the above info twice. Its definately correct. My apologies. Ive just checked it yet again....I forgot the 's' as in https. But alas, it still didnt get it to link....

Sarah Megan Thomas @sarahmegant Nov 29 Overlooked no more... and soon her brave story will be on the big screen. Can’t wait to share Noor’s story in our female driven spy film with @radhika_apte @stana_Katic @nytimes #heroes NYTOverlooked No More: Noor Inayat Khan, Indian Princess and British Spy
Khan, who was recently suggested as the new face of the £50 note, was an unlikely candidate to engage in espionage in World War II, but she did so with a “steely strength of will.” Unfortunately, no mention of the movie. They really need to get this movie named and the word out about it. Otherwise they can't capitalize on secondary promotion like this article could have provided. Missed opportunity.

Produced, Written and Starring Sarah Meghan Thomas, and Stana Katic (Castle, Absentia). Good try but imo not catchy enough nor do enough people know who Vera Atkins was. I think that's perhaps why Vera Atkins Army isn't being used. The film could use a name that's relevant and clever but doesn't name names, sort of like Hidden Figures, which brilliantly worked on two levels -- the "hidden" numbers that had to be calculated and the "hidden" women who did that calculating. Not that I have any brilliant ideas myself. :):) In WWI there was an earlier group of spies working against the Kaiser called the Alice Network (there's a new novel out by that name based on it in part) after the alias of the Frenchwoman who coordinated the group. Atkins' Army is too broad a name since the movie focuses on just two of Vera's recruits and Vera herself. Wish we knew more about the script to select a proper title, but it might be fun for everyone to suggest something.
