Crosscastle - thanks for the invite but no can do with discussing The Rookie. The UK doesn't have the series nor do I have any intention of watching IF the UK does get the series. That said, it doesn't stop me from reading fan reviews of the episodes which is sadly lacking on this forum.

Any thoughts on how to encourage those who are actually watching The Rookie and who visit here to post some thoughts?

Ok so I will share my thoughts on the episodes aired so far.
Basically in all the eps there’s a continuous arc going on w.r.t to Bradford’s wife. In the pilot ep, we learnt that Bradford is estranged from His wife. She is a drug addict but he still loves her. In the 3rd ep we see that Bradford wants to save Isabelle but she won’t let him. We see that she was once a narcotics cop and got addicted on the job. In the 5th ep, we see that Bradford wanted to win a Rookie-TO competition badly because he used to play that with Isabelle and it’s a way for him to be connected to her.
In the 7th ep, there’s a big plot line about Isabelle getting arrested for drug possession. She tells Bradford that she will go to rehab if he takes the drug from her home. Lucy Chen is concerned for Tim’s emotional well being and follows Bradford and stops him from commiting the crime saying that it won’t change her. Tim agreed and does not commit the crime.
In the 8th ep, we see that Isabelle has agreed to be a Confidential informant and is going to give out the name of the big fishes. So there’s going to be drug bust. But it goes wrong and it looks like the traffickers kidnapped her or killer her. It’s badically a cliffhanger. Tim goes ballistic and violent.
As her Alexi hawley’s interview, in the future eps, Bradford will become self destructive and want vengeance which could jeopardize his police career. Once again Lucy will have to save him from himself. The two of them are getting closer and I see them becoming a couple or falling in love if the show lasts. A couple of eps ago, there’s a scene where he pranks her and she pranks him back.
As for Nathan’s character Nolan, he shoots a guy in the job and there’s an Enquiry. Nolan and Seargent Grey are getting closer. He does not make age jjokes anymore and seem to respect Nolan.
We meet Jackson’s West dad and there’s a family drama going on which we don’t know what it is yet. Angela and Bishop both want to be detective. Bishop gets the chance but she may have ruined it by telling Bradford about the drug bust.
In a future ep, we will see Lucy’s family.

Just to advise that the rookie winter finale had a cliffhanger, and returns on January 8.

Castlefan - THANK YOU! Finally, someone has let the rest of us know what is going on with this series. What I found interesting is that you have chosen to highlight two other characters and not Nolan. That particular storyline does sound very interesting. Just how far will you go for someone you love even to the point of destroying yourself. It also sounds as if his wife needs to want to get help or he is just wasting his time. So once again - It means if someone here has any questions, we have someone to ask. Regarding your question Veritas, I have no idea. I stopped asking Nathan fans anything because I never seemed to receive any information that would make me want to learn more. The above reply from Castlefan has made me hope that they will continue to post their thoughts on the series. B :-)

Castlefan - again interesting that the continuing arc is for two other characters and not for Nolan.
And this is serious question which I hope you will find the time to answer. I am curious as to what you think of the Nolan character. And not because he is being played by Nathan but purely as a character in a series. Do you like him? Do you think that as a character he works? What would you like to see happen with him?
Thanks.
B :-)

I thought I would check back in and see if there was any discussion on The Rookie, but I see nothing has changed here. The only reason anyone here wants to talk about Nation is to pile on with jabs about his acting and jabs about the way he looks and everything he does, then talk about how awful his show is and how no one likes it. This whole thread is nonstop criticism of Nathan and the show.
I really enjoy The Rookie. I love the relationships between all the cops. The stories are fairly realistic and compelling like when Nolan shot a suspect to death and was put through the ringer with interrogations and investigations even though it was a good shooting.
Negative comments about Nathan are encouraged. The slightest negative comment about Stana brings the moderators out. I don't know why any Nathan fan would hang out here.
I'm afraid this terrible show will likely get a 2nd season. You'll all have another year you can throw criticism at him.

I am an unapologetic Fillion fan . However, I get tired of being asked to defend/explain every compliment I throw his way.

It would be great if you could post thoughts on the actual episodes to support those who are interested in the show. The more the merrier!
However, your previous FOUR posts have been essentially criticism of those who post here and the Mods. Perhaps rather than criticising others for being negative, you could adjust your contribution to include actual comments about the topic?
Negative comments about NF are not encouraged here, but there is most definitely a lack of contribution from the many members who enjoy watching NF. But that lack of contribution on NF themed discussion threads appears to be more widespread than here? Hence the encouragement to post about the actual episodes. There is also a lack of interest by NF followers for posting or even 'liking' in the Sundae Thread-not sure what Mods can do aside from provide the forum but if members refuse to contribute then that's on them.

B :-) That’s the seargent who made age jokes on him when the show started. He does not anymore. Yes, his son will show up on 1x10. He goes to college in the east coast. So it’s nice to see he has come to visit his dad.

I really am enjoying the Rookie. Nathan Fillion is very likable and the other characters are as well. They are doing a great job of developing all of the characters. We watch every week.

Castlefan - thank you. My kinda of answer to a very simple question about the character of Grey. So I really hope that you will continue to keep us informed, especially how the visit with his son goes.
Also anyone gonna post that Wall Street article on the show? Seems to think very highly of the show. I would love someone to confirm those viewing numbers please.
B :-)
