^^^^ The Time piece is very good and mostly historical, but nice pics of Stana.
The film has gotten a decent volume of coverage with some very good reviews.

Ive just seen 40 minutes of Foyles War, in which Im convinced the ep was based on the SOE. Hilda Pierce was in it too. (According to the wiki page on Odette, it also mentions Foyles War and that Hilda Pierce was based on Vera Atkins). The ep was about an English spy spy who infiltrated (?) (I missed most of the ep), a spy organisation. I think the boss was supposed to be based on Buckmaster.
The last part of the ep, the boss didnt think Foyle would be a good candidate for the organisation presumably SOE.

Now I know that aussiecate16 is also a Sydneyite!! Wonder if she also went to see nathan fillion at the supernova in June 2015??? I will never know. Unless she lives in New South Wales in general - unless she is flying here from a state that can fly here?

In this pic/shot, Stana looks very similar to the real Vera.

Of all the ind film work she has done this film has given her the best script to work with and she has made the most of it. Just a superior job. Strong actors working next to her with good writing also helps showcase how good she is.

I’m pretty sure that with the review of A Call To Spy in The Times (of London) that this is the most widely reviewed film Stana has ever been in. There are several reasons. Hands down it is the best written film she’s ever been in. (The Bond thing was poorly done.). The story is timely with a strong international appeal. The other roles and actors were very strong and made her work look better and more significant. Her body of work is now good sized and with this season of Absentia, showcasing the breath and depth of her artistry.
At this point in her career I would hope strong scripts continue to come her way. This season’s Absentia proved the most consistently strong writing for her ever. As Executive Producer she should be able to maintain that quality. Some comedy work would not be amiss.
